Today we went to Hanauma bay. It was great fun. The sun was not out but the water was fine. The fam participated in their annual snorkeling. Ash was freezing in the wind. Clark jumped into the Bay without abandon, Mom was her usual surfer girl, Holley was using Ben for a boogey board and Heather was catching the surf with Dad being pulled out into the bay. Fortunately, we all enjoyed the event and left to eat sushi at the Genki.
After the snorkeling experience we went for sushi. Sushi is for the un-squemish at heart. It is rice with a raw fish on top for an appetizer. People who enjoy Sushi usually have small dogs for pets and their idea of fun is watching chick flicks in broad day-light.
Lest i forget, we had a fun run this morning. The young got up at 6:00 a.m. for a three mile run. We ran to Moanalua park, and saw the famous Hitachi tree which Japanese come to admire. Holley ran gingerly in her new shoes, Ash was with her usual fast jog, Jess with his jumpy legs, and Ben trying to hold down his horses. Of course, Dad was his normal steady pace. They call him steady eddie. Actually, the run was 4 miles instead of three. I didn't want to psych the girls out (non sexist term).
